Links with Holy Cross Church

BinstedChurch-external

As a church controlled school we have very close links with the church. Parents and children celebrate key events including Harvest, Easter, Remembrance Day & Christmas at special services which are always well attended. There is an open invitation to all parents and carers of children in the school to attend worship at Holy Cross.

Our village church is Holy Cross.  Our vicar is Rev Yann Dubreuil who lives at the vicarage a few doors along from the school gates.

Rev Dubreuil conducts an assembly every Wednesday in school, which is enjoyed by the children. The children also visit the church as part of the Religious Education curriculum. From time to time the vicar works closely with staff in the classroom to explore Christian traditions.

All our staff and children benefit from this close family relationship.

Field Marshal The Viscount Montgomery of Alamein was a regular worshipper at the Holy Cross Church in Binsted and is buried there having lived in nearby Isington Mill during the latter years of his life.

Yann

Rev Yann Debruil, takes the Wednesday assembly in school. These assemblies are always fun and interesting. Quote from the children.

Families joined the children at the end of term, when Yann took the children through the Easter Story.
