Lunchtime

Tuesday, 14 June 2011 20:24 Last Updated on Tuesday, 08 November 2011 14:30

What do we do at lunchtime?

Lunchtime starts at noon. The children wash their hands before walking into the school hall. All children eat together in the hall and sit in family groups. The older children are encouraged to help the younger ones.

Mrs Weeks and Mrs Hawkins look after the children in the hall. In the summer, when the weather is warm, the children from Eagles and Kookaburra classes eat at the picnic tables outside. Children who take school lunches can opt for a “picnic bag” and eat this outside. Plated meals are eaten indoors.

School meals are provided by HC3S and are booked at the school office.

Tina is our school cook and she serves the meals.

Packed Lunches

Please pack a healthy lunch and always include a drink. Children are requested not to have sweets or chocolate bars in their lunch box.

Here are some suggestions for healthy lunch boxes.

Lunch time Play

After lunch the children play outside.  They are well supervised by Mrs Weeks and either Mrs Hawkins or Mrs Hulbert.
